Excellent's teaching philosophy comes from our Academic Director Roger Narayan, who has been teaching and tutoring for over 15 years. Roger holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park and maintained a perfect 4.0/4.0 GPA in a very competitive Graduate Engineering Program. He was awarded a Graduate Research Fellowship, the highest honor accorded for academic excellence in Graduate School, even as he completed all requisite coursework normally scheduled for 4 semesters in only 3 semesters. Roger's research work has been published as a book and received great reviews from top Microelectronics companies. He has extensive experience working with a wide variety of students ranging from exceptionally brilliant to average to students with special needs in each case maximizing each child's potential based on their particular strengths. Roger worked as a Special Teacher for remedial Students in at the University of Maryland and has tutored extensively at the High School and College Levels in Math, Physics, Chemistry; for the SAT, GRE, ISEE, PSAT standardized tests and with Study Skills, Test-Taking Skills and Career Direction.
Excellent's philosophy of providing exceptional client service comes from Roger's background in Corporate America as a Project Manager on Technology projects and as a Marketing Executive in Silicon Valley for 8 years where client satisfaction and quality results were paramount.
Roger personally mentors and advises our tutors since he enjoys supporting students and the teaching process itself. Having been through the entire Academic process from High School through to Graduate School as a very successful student and teacher, he is highly qualified to train and mentor our tutors and their students in academic and career matters.
